Dstny again strengthens its position in the French market by acquiring digital service provider IPLine
Zaventem, 1 June 2021 – Dstny, the Belgian provider of secure cloud communication solutions for innovative companies, is strengthening its position in France with the acquisition of IPLine, the digital service provider from the Rhône-Alpes region, recognised for its expertise in securing and hosting companies' digital assets.
Following the acquisition of the French operator Alliantel earlier this year, with this new acquisition, the Destiny group is strengthening its expertise in the area of hosting and cyber security and reinforcing its position in the French market as a local, reliable provider of secure cloud communication solutions for large and medium-sized companies alike.
IPLine specialises in managing companies' digital assets and offers network solutions, data hosting, information systems security and unified communications solutions. The company is also ISO 27001 certified for its full range of services and manages its own hybrid cloud infrastructure and secure networks, thus guaranteeing continuity and a high level of service. IPLine is also particularly active in the healthcare sector, with a dedicated Healthcare Data Hosting (HDS) solution for healthcare institutions. To conduct its activities, the company uses six data centres in the Rhône-Alpes region and Île-de-France. This means it can offer excellent service, efficient and reliable infrastructure and local support to all its customers. Through the merger with the Destiny group, IPLine can strengthen its unified cloud communications offer and thus meet the challenges of hybrid working, omnichannel customer relationships and fixed-mobile convergence.
Thierry Coussy, co-founder of IPLine, explains: “We are proud to become part of the Destiny group, with whom we share the same commitment to quality for our customers. The history that we have already been writing in the field of digital asset management for the past 17 years , and our data security obligations mean that we are joining Dstny with the shared ambition to provide our customers with the best possible secure cloud communication at a European level.”
Daan De Wever, CEO of Dstny, adds: “This acquisition is another step that will allow us to continue to grow in the French market, to expand our expertise and to become a reliable cloud communications partner for both SMEs and larger businesses. It also aligns perfectly with our previously stated ambition to become a leading player in Europe in the field of secure cloud communications solutions, where our aim is to be among the most important providers in the local markets in which we are present. We are therefore pleased that we can combine our strengths and in so doing come a lot closer to achieving our objectives.”
The co-founders of IPLine, Thierry Coussy, Willy Chantre and Franck Dunière, will all become shareholders in the Destiny group and members of the Destiny executive committee in France. As a result of this acquisition, the Destiny group now has 450 employees, including 180 in France, and is expected to achieve a total turnover of 120 million euros in 2021, of which roughly 40% will be generated in France.
